With great joy and gratitude, the Hojai Community announced the appointment of Fr. Jude Vijay SCJ, a religious of the Vicariate of India, as Parish Priest of the Shrine of Mukdidata, Hojai, in the Archdiocese of Guwahati.
The solemn ceremony was presided over by Rev. Fr. John Paul, Procurator of the Archdiocese of Guwahati. During the Eucharistic celebration, Fr. Jude made the Profession of Faith and the Oath of Allegiance, publicly affirming his commitment to faithfully serve the Church and carry out the pastoral responsibilities entrusted to him.
The celebration was attended by several priests and religious from various nearby communities and parishes.
About one hundred faithful gathered in prayer, making the occasion a grace-filled event.
The program was carefully organized under the guidance of Fr. Jestin James Marottikkal SCJ, Superior of the Hojai Community, who ensured a harmonious and meaningful celebration.
Inspired by the missionary spirit of the Congregation's Founder, St. Michael Garicoits, who encouraged his religious to "go where no one wants to go," Fr. Jude now begins his pastoral ministry at the Mukdidata Shrine. The faithful of the parish and the Congregation entrust his ministry to God's providence, praying that it will bear abundant fruit for the growth of the Church in the Archdiocese of Guwahati.
